Second project

The video contains excerpts of an interview between Zayed Sanad and Mr Eissa Sanad that is conducted to an entrepreneur on a number of issues ranging from the nature of his business to his future plans among others. The first question was inquiring about his take on the subject of the entrepreneur. He responds by pointing out that entrepreneur is the art of taking a risk with an aim of achieving something better, like a financial gain or personal branding. The next question that he is asked is why he chose to be an entrepreneur and about other ventures that he has ventured in before. His response is that he had planned to invest in the car wash business before his partners challenged him to venture into something more challenging. Thereafter, they came up with the idea of opening a barbershop.
The third question concerns the pros and cons in barbershop business. The interviewee states that it is seasonal and in particular, he says that the low season in that business is during summer. The entrepreneur admits that he has been in the business for one and half years. He further states entrepreneurial stages that should be observed. According to him, the first stage involves investing which leads to stability then followed by diversifying the investments and finally investing in personal branding. On the matter of gaining a breaking point, he does not hesitate to admit that as much he has gained some returns from the business he has also had to part with some money in paying salaries to the workers.
The entrepreneur reveals that his capital source was from the inheritance. Concerning his goals and achievements he has made so far in the business, he states that he has recovered all his initial capital through what he calls owner’s fee. He further states that his future plan is to venture into something different and bigger.
In the last segments of the interview, the entrepreneur admits that skills, attitude and knowledge are all exclusive requisites in entrepreneurship. On the issue of initial challenges, he states that he was vulnerable when shopping for the business materials and the vendors that he relied upon for supplies were exploitive when it comes to pricing. Having had a trusted personal barber for seven years, he says that he to consult him to get guidance on how to pick good workers.
Finally, when asked to point out the things he would do differently if he was to start again, he states that he would involve his workers in purchasing business equipment. He further suggests that he would opt for materials that are of middle rate and not the packages supplied by the vendor at exorbitant prices.
